MUN Support for Schools

The Edinburgh University Model United Nations Society is committed to helping and supporting MUN programmes in both primary and secondary schools. We aim to achieve this through the provision of resources to help teachers run MUN sessions. We offer PDFs with information explaining what MUN is, and how to run MUN sessions with more on their way. We also run a biannual newsletter containing study guides that can be used for MUN sessions and information about MUN opportunities in and around Edinburgh. We can also provide more individually tailored assistance, particularly to schools looking to establish a MUN society, please see below for more details.

We also produce a biannual newsletter released in January and September every year. The newsletter contains information on future EdMUN opportunities for schools and a helpful selection of study guides for use within your MUN sessions. Assistance for New MUN Programmes

For schools looking to establish a MUN programme, we can provide additional assistance. This could include a meeting (either digital or in person) with committee members to provide an idea of what MUN is, or assistance with setting up MUN sessions. It could even include having committee members help to run a session or a mini-conference at your school if that would be of interest.
