Annual General Meeting

Crikey, has it been a year already?

As Semester 2 approaches its end, so does the 2021/22 EdMUN committee! Having an absolute brilliant year, with debates, socials and ScotMUN back to being held in-person, this year's committee has a lot to be proud of. However, all good things come to an end and a new committee is required to make the 2022/23 year the best yet in EdMUN's history!

Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Tuesday, 5th April at 7pm, in the Maclaren Stuart Room in Old College. Exact timings and schedule will be announced closer to the date, but the evening will allow members to introduce and vote on amendments to the EdMUN constitution, as well as vote in next year's committee! The AGM should take not run any longer than 2 hours, after which we will be celebrating our newly voted committee members in appropriate fashion (more info on this to come!).

If would like to submit any amendments to the EdMUN constitution, please complete this form: https://docs.google.com/.../1FAIpQLSdIeLA8kvP.../viewform....

If you would like to run for any committee position next year, please complete this form: https://docs.google.com/.../1FAIpQLScyua17TO3.../viewform... .
Please note, you must be a fully matriculated student of the University of Edinburgh to run for the 3 Office Bearer positions (President, Treasurer, Secretary). The deadline for self-nominations is 23.59 on the 4th April.

To find out more about the responsibilities and roles for each committee position, as well as ideas for amendments, please consult the EdMUN constitution at: https://www.edmun.org/policies-11.

If you have any queries or questions about what it's like to be on committee, workload, experiences and anything else, please don't hesitate to ask! Either approach one of the committee members at the debates this Tuesday and next or drop a message to us, either through Messenger, Instagram or email. Considering to run for any society's committee can be daunting or overwhelming, however we can assure you it's absolutely brilliant fun and worth it!

We hope to see as many of you as possible at our AGM, both old and new members alike!
